Highway 1 is closed in northern Big Sur.
This public event, which is non-profit and for the benefit of the community at large, is held to inspire and educate people of all ages on visual arts. Over the last few years we have donated money to the Youth Arts Collective, which has over the course of its 20-year history on the Monterey Peninsula provided studios and exhibition opportunities for over 800 local youngsters. Our donation is used to provide gallery space, art supplies, long-term mentoring, life skills and art instruction, as well as many other benefits provided by YAC. Carmel-by-the-Sea galleries schedule their own art exhibitions, receptions, and painting and sculpting demonstrations in conjunction with the Carmel Art Festival.
